MY KAZIMIERZ, Paulina Dąbrowska-Dorożyńska
MY KAZIMERZ
For many ages life bloomed lushly in Kazimierz.
It was born, played, sang and danced, learnt, worked and prayed. In those times life was gorgeous and prosperous like the magnificent houses, it was culturally and intellectually rich like the respectable temples, and colourful and mysterious like the interiors of the small nestling shops.
But suddenly life disappeared...
Both wealthy and poor life was snatched to its roots by Kain's hand. Only abandoned houses, temples and shops remained.
Besides the stony silence, colours, shapes, flavours and scents remained in the walls, doors, gates, galleries, attics, portals and pilasters like magical treasures.
