“Close-up2014 – Hence the Memory Survives”

International Meeting for young journalists in Auschwitz and Sachsenhausen

The Maximilian-Kolbe-Werk organizes another two-day international encounter in 2014. Auschwitz and Sachsenhausen memorials are included as venues, 20 young journalists from Germany, Poland and other countries from Central and Eastern Europe a will meet with Holocaust survivors. They will hold intensive talks and visit the authentic places of National Socialist crimes. In recording the memories of the former prisoners, their legacy, is not forgotten.

Using various media techniques and Web-2.0-applications, they prepare their contributions in audio, video or text format and publish them with the help of conventional and new media.
