Trip to Auschwitz and Cracow

Students from Maria Sibylla Merian High School in Krefeld, Germany

For 11 years Maria Sibylla Merian High School in Krefeld has been sending a group of students to Oswiecim to enable their students to learn in different locations. The journey is part of a longer project which begins with lessons in their school. Remembrance and commemoration have an important place in the school. The project is part of the school’s commitment to educate against racism and the discrimination of people today.

Student interest in the project is high and so two groups will travel to Oswiecim at the same time. In 2016 there will be 80 students visiting Auschwitz. The students will visit the places of extermination in Auschwitz, meet with a survivor, and have time in Cracow.
