Auschwitz Study Tour Programme

Luther College is located in the small northeast Iowa town of Decorah. It is an undergraduate liberal arts college affiliated with the Lutheran Church (ELCA). It was founded in 1861 by Norwegian immigrants. The College values learning beyond the classroom and for this reason Lea Donhowe Lovelace, faculty member, returns with a new group of 22 students. This study visit programme in Auschwitz January 20-23, 2018 is part of their January term course From the Middle Ages to the Holocaust: Jews and Judaism in Europe. Their days in Oswiecim include a study visit in Auschwitz-Birkenau, lectures in Museum and Centre for Dialogue and Prayer, visit to the town of Oswiecim and Jewish Centre, and visit to Harmeze.
