Auschwitz -Project
At the beginning of July the Centre for Dialogue and Prayer will be visited again by a student group from the Highschool Adolfinum in Moers, Germany. 200 participants will spend five days learning more about the history and the meaning of the former concentration camp Auschwitz -Birkenau.
The aim of the visit is to show the students the consequences of far-right politics and the importance of democracy. This will be explained by a guided study tour at the Museum Auschwitz, education workshops, presentations and meetings with former concentration camp prisoners. In addition, the group plans to visit Krakow and the district of Kazimierz to learn more about the past and also present Jewish culture. During the visit, the students are supported by teachers and more than 30 volunteers.
