A Past which does not end

30 students from grade 12 and 4 teachers from the High School Odenkirchen in Mönchengladbach, Germany, will visit Oświęcim in February for the second time. An important part of this project is the individual tasks every participant has to do. For example, there are photo documentations or the production of posters, these will be used in a presentation of their project when they return to school.

The program includes a visit to the former concentration camps Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II – Birkenau, workshops, a tour through the Jewish Centre of Oświęcim and a trip to Krakow.

The participants of 2014 were very impressed with this project so it was not difficult to find a new group of interested students.

This project will be financially supported by the Foundation „Erinnern ermöglichen“ (Enable Remembrance) from Dusseldorf and the support association of the school.
