Centre for Dialogue and Prayer in Oświęcim

The Centre for Dialogue and Prayer in Oświęcim was founded for all those who were touched by what happened in the German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Meetings with former prisoners and direct contact with the history of World War II are the basis of our educational activities.
We create place of dialogue between people and nations of various cultures and religious beliefs.
We provide a place of tranquility and rest, we offer meals and accommodation.
International and interreligious meetings, retreats, seminars, conferences, meditations, prayers and reflections are an important dimensions in the life of the Centre.

My name is Henriette Vohn

I am the volunteer at the Center for Dialoge and Prayer in 2019/2020. Actually I am from Aachen, a small town in the west of Germany and decided, after I got my Abitur, that I wanted to spend my voluntary service, here in Oswiecim. There are infinite places and countries that are worth to explore and travel to, but I felt, that here was a special place to preserve the history and memory of what happend and is never allowed to happen again. I wanted to contribute to that, which is, why I am looking forward to welcome you here in the center soon.
